Buyer’s Guide: TypeTrust

TYT

TypeTrust is a font distribution partnership founded in 2005 by Silas Dilworth and Neil Summerour with the goal of fostering a direct and sustainable channel between the dedicated type designer and the devoted type enthusiast. Through cooperative self-representation, they strive to share and preserve their philosophies and craft for the long term benefit of those they serve and represent. Basic EULA Rights

  • Desktop use supports up 5 workstations.
  • You may embed the fonts into a read-only PDF.

Restrictions

  • You cannot share the font with users that do not have a license for the same font.
  • You cannot embed the font software into a Website or Application.
  • You may not use the fonts in commercial products – digital or printed.

Buyer’s Guide: MVB Fonts and Sweet

MvB Fonts was started by type designer Mark van Bronkhorst in 1991. In between handling custom type projects for clients ranging from individuals to large corporations, this small foundry continues to develop and expand its range of font offerings. MvB’s Sweet Collection consists of engraved lettering styles from the 20th Century. Sweet is a registered trademark of Markanna Studios Inc. Established in 2007, Latinotype is a digital foundry based in Chile. Their goal is to create new typefaces remixing diverse influences related to their South American identity. EF

Veronika Elsner and Günther Flake founded their company EF Designstudios in 1985, after ten years of freelance experience in the area of type design, typography, and digitizing of fonts and logos. Elsner+Flake typefaces are designed to meet the demanding requirements of the design community. Check out TV Nord, Ballantines Script, and Bank Sans.

  • You may embed the font in a read-only document that does not allow unlicensed parties to edit the document or create a new document using the font.

INT

Established by Satya Rajpurohit and Peter Bilak, Indian Type Foundry (ITF) creates and markets fine quality typefaces for the Indian market and globally.   • You can reproduce a document at a commercial printer, or service bureau only if the document is a non-editable artwork in PDF format.

SUO

Suomi Type Foundry is a company dedicated to creating high quality typefaces. The company was founded by Tomi Haaparanta, who has been designing typefaces since 1990. Tomi Haaparantas fonts are already distributed by Linotype, Monotype, ITC, T-26 and Psy/Ops, and in January 2004 he decided to set up his own font foundry.

  • You may use the licensed fonts to create images on any surfaces where the image is a fixed size.

Restrictions
