Welcome to the second part of our new product page series. Last week we reviewed two features, the sample text tool bar and buying options, on FontShop. This week we’ll take a look at the Glyph Tab using Gordon by Letterbox as an example.
The Character Set option allows you to view the all the glyphs available in a specific font. A small arrow will appear in a glyph’s box if there are alternates characters for that glyph. You can click on the arrow to preview the alternates.
The Language Support option will show you all of the languages that the font will support. Typically fonts will support common languages like Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, and Spanish.
Now you know where to find out if a font has contextual alternates and supports a specific language. If you have additional questions you can always email FontShop’s Support Team for help.
